Job summary

The Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 1 in Boise. This role supports adjudication staff, managing files and records for the BRBA, performing data entry, and handling correspondence.

You will also assist Water Allocation Bureau staff and develop experience with water right issues across Idaho while maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors.
• Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems.
• Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying rules, regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments.
• Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding the adjudication, water rights, and general IDWR program information.
• Enter water right and adjudication documents, verify for accuracy and completeness, and assist customers with form submissions.
• File legal documents with the court, Department of Justice, and Attorney General.
• Process and mail documents, maintain archive files, scan and stamp documents.
• Conduct research using information from various sources and engage with stakeholders as necessary.
• Perform specialized support work involving extensive knowledge of the adjudication program.
• Process notices of ownership and address changes to adjudication claims and water rights.
• Provide general office and clerical support for adjudication staff.
