Job summary

The Idaho Department of Insurance in Boise is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 1 in the Producer Licensing Section. The selected candidate will work with insurance professionals submitting applications for new and renewing licenses across more than a dozen license types, and assist vendors with continuing education while providing information on licensing protocols with professional service.

This position emphasizes accuracy, cross-training, and opportunities for paid trainings to obtain

Qualifications

• Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors.
• Experience maintaining electronic or physical records with data accuracy.
• Conducting detailed research and analysis of complex information.
• Interpreting and applying regulations to carry out assignments.
• Entering and retrieving data in a computerized records system.
• Experience with sensitive or restricted data.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to use business English and edit PDFs in Adobe Pro.

Responsibilities

• Checks and distributes daily mail for payments.
• Uses proprietary software to complete work in various areas.
• Maintains a digital filing system.
• Reviews website forms and updates procedures as needed.
• Develops and provides reports and correspondence.
• Consults with licensees on licensing issues.
• Provides outstanding customer service by phone, in person, and via email.
• Participates in trainings and meetings to learn licensing topics.
