Job summary

Connect-Force is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Custom Machinery & Automation in a growing manufacturing environment. You will lead projects from initial requirements through engineering, assembly, testing, and delivery, coordinating engineers, machinists, and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires hands-on involvement on the factory floor, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to drive complex projects to completion while balancing schedule, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally with custom machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and machine building.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, assembly, quality).
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and customer expectations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead custom machinery projects from customer requirements through engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, and final acceptance.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Own multiple projects while maintaining quality, cost, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify challenges early and coordinate with internal teams to keep projects moving forward.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to align design and development.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly, purchasing, and quality teams.
