Connect-Force is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Metro Detroit team. This role blends engineering acumen with direct customer engagement to shape custom manufacturing solutions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into feasible machine concepts, prepare detailed proposals, and drive projects from initial inquiry through handoff. A technical background and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading mechanical drawings, electrical docs, and customer specs.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, estimates or project scopes.
• Ability to review RFQs and determine project requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand manufacturing needs, specs, and goals.
• Review drawings and specs to determine project requirements and scope.
• Develop concepts and equipment solutions for automated machinery.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates and project scopes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and project teams.
• Present concepts and proposals to customers and respond to questions.
