Job summary

Connect-Force in Southeast Michigan seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design and execution of custom machinery projects. This role combines hands-on engineering with project ownership, from concept through commissioning.

You will work closely with designers, controls engineers, and manufacturers to translate customer requirements into reliable mechanical solutions, review drawings, and drive schedules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical design or engineering experience in custom industrial machinery.
• Strong hands-on design capabilities and ability to lead technical projects.
• Proficient with 3D CAD tools and engineering drawings (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through design, assembly, and completion.
• Involve in mechanical design reviews and problem-solving throughout the project.
• Develop CAD models and detailed drawings for assemblies and components.
• Collaborate with designers, controls, manufacturing, and machine builders.
• Translate customer specs into reliable mechanical solutions.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure on-time delivery.
