Connect-Force is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer to join our Southeast Michigan engineering team. You will work on custom machinery projects, turning customer requirements into practical equipment solutions and collaborating with design, controls, sales, and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes evaluating processes, estimating costs, and developing technical proposals across the project lifecycle, from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical/manufacturing/applications engineering or related technical role.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specs, and blueprints.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, machining, automation, or custom machinery.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, technical specs, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop technical proposals and quotations for custom machinery.
• Evaluate processes, machine capabilities, tooling, and production considerations.
• Collaborate with engineers, sales, and manufacturing to develop equipment solutions.
• Assist with estimating costs, requirements, and timelines.
• Identify technical challenges and propose efficiency/quality improvements.
• Communicate project specs and expectations with customers and stakeholders.
• Support preliminary concepts and process development.
• Ensure proposals reflect technical requirements and scope.
• Participate in technical discussions throughout proposal and project development.
