Job summary

Planet is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive its largest, cross-team programs from concept through delivery. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Space Systems, Enablement, and Customer Support to turn ambitious roadmaps into structured execution plans and accountable timelines.

You will coordinate complex deployments, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders worldwide, enabling a reliable, scalable product life cycle across domains.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development or program management in SaaS, platform development, or analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with cross-functional teams across a broad organization.
• Thrives in ambiguous environments; designs scalable processes and frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with the product life cycle from concept through launch to end-of-life.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication skills for both business and engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate end-to-end program execution across Engineering, Product, Design, Space Systems, Enablement, and Customer Support to ensure successful releases.
• Scope comprehensive program schedules and break down complex requirements into actionable milestones.
• Translate requirements across business and technical stakeholders with clear communication.
• Identify dependencies and risks and proactively mitigate them.
• Facilitate data-driven decision making and constructive debate.
• Communicate progress, priorities, risks, and changes across Planet's teams and stakeholders.
• Drive for continuous improvements to scale operational efficiencies.
