Planet is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-team initiatives across Product, Engineering, Space Systems, and Customer Support. You will translate roadmaps into structured execution plans and timelines to deliver complex deployments on time.

This full-time role requires coordinating across diverse teams, mitigating risks, and clearly communicating progress to stakeholders. The position is hybrid, with 3 days in the Washington DC or Denver, CO offices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development or program management experience in SaaS, platform development, or analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with cross-functional teams across a broad organization.
• Ability to design scalable processes in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with the product life cycle: concept through development, launch prep, go-to-market, deprecation, and end-of-life.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills with clear communication.
• Ability to explain analyses and recommendations to business leaders and engineers.
• Balance tactical day-to-day work with forward-looking improvements to scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate end-to-end program execution across multiple teams to ensure successful releases.
• Break down complex requirements into actionable milestones and schedules.
• Translate requirements across business and technical stakeholders with clarity.
• Identify dependencies and risks and proactively mitigate them.
• Facilitate data-driven decision making and stakeholder communication.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress, priorities, risks, and changes to plans.
