Job summary

Meridian Labs is hiring its first Technical Operations Manager in Boston to oversee internal operations and support partnerships with AI labs and non-profits. You will manage budgets, tooling, security, and remote/hybrid work, collaborating closely with the CEO.

You’ll automate reporting, streamline vendor and contract processes, and coordinate staff onboarding, travel, and events while ensuring compliance, payroll, and grants support across the organization.

Qualifications

• Several years of operations, IT, finance, or administration experience at a technical organization.
• Daily use of AI tools and automation of real tasks.
• Comfort with scripting, APIs, and SaaS tools.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day finance: budgets, expenses, vendors, and cloud spend.
• Make hybrid and remote work smooth for Boston staff and remote workers.
• Automate internal reporting and oversight using AI agents and scripts.
• Administer tools: accounts, devices, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, and security.
• Manage partner agreements and staff secondments with partners.
• Respond to partner security and data-handling reviews and reporting.
• Coordinate visits, workshops, and events with partners and travel.
• Own compliance: filings, audits, insurance, and policies.
• Run people operations: hiring logistics, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, benefits.
• Support grant applications as the organization takes on funding.
