Job summary

Mercury is seeking a forward‑deployed lead for AI Operations to embed with teams, define success metrics, and build AI-enabled workflows and tools. You’ll partner closely with HR, Compliance, and other functions to design durable handoffs, documentation, and ownership, ensuring adoption and lasting impact.

You’ll work across finance, product, and engineering to move initiatives from concept to measurable outcomes, iterating until the new way of working sticks and scales.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product operations, or similar roles owning outcomes end to end.
• Hands‑on experience building with AI: agents, workflows, automations, internal tools.
• Ability to define KPI, plan, and build in ambiguity, then defend them to a skeptical team lead.
• Fluent with tooling (APIs, low-code/no-code builders, SQL) and able to translate to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams across Mercury and identify where AI could improve business outcomes.
• Partner with leaders to define success measures before building.
• Build and ship AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools.
• Test and iterate until measurable results are achieved.
• Lead change management with training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Create durable handoffs with reliable tools and clear ownership.
