Job summary

Scientific Games is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join its lottery solutions team. The role covers tier 2 support, incident resolution, and collaboration with Infra, Dev, and Test teams across Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and WildFly environments.

Some Ubuntu work is required, with on-call responsibilities in a 24x7 rotation. You will troubleshoot performance and availability issues, monitor capacity, and contribute to knowledge bases and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 3+ years of Windows administration experience.
• 5+ years in system administration within high-availability environments.
• Experience with SQL Server, AlwaysOn, and database diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 2 support for lottery platforms and customer solutions.
• Triages, troubleshoots, and resolves issues affecting availability and performance.
• Monitor capacity and plan for future needs in large-scale environments.
• Address security concerns and ensure SLAs are met.
• Define and track Service Level Objectives and create KB articles.
• Create and maintain support documentation and procedures.
• Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
