Hood Container Corporation seeks a Technical Manager for Corrugated Manufacturing to join our Corporate Analytics and Improvement team. The role provides SME in Maintenance, Reliability, or Operations for U.S. Corrugated Box & Converting operations.

The position is remote with travel at least 75% of the time and reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager. The candidate will lead data analysis, develop strategic improvement plans, and mentor teams in Lean tools to drive safety, quality,

Qualifications

Corrugated industry expertise with diverse converting equipment.
Experience using a process approach to operational improvements (e.g., speed trials, setup reductions).
Experience teaching Lean Six Sigma tools for continuous improvement.
Proven training experience on best practices, processes, and software applications.
Experience collaborating with other subject matter experts.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel at least 75% of the time (U.S.).
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn software systems quickly.

Responsabilités

Model safe work practices and leadership characteristics consistent with Hood Container Guiding Principles (Care, Serve, Evolve, Empower, & Trust).
Provide SME for Maintenance, Reliability, or Operational Best Practices.
Lead data analysis to identify areas for business improvement, including equipment, processes, systems, or other elements of the business.
Develop strategic and tactical plans to achieve measurable improvements around safety, quality, productivity, reliability, waste, and costs.
Lead, coach, and mentor employees to utilize continuous improvement tools, such as Lean Manufacturing, statistical analysis, scientific thinking, root cause analysis, and standard work.
Lead on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic events, partner with leadership to develop project road map and key milestones for sustainable practices.
Communicate findings, action plans, and status updates to multiple levels of the organization (including VP of Operations).
Effectively engage other subject matter experts, site leaders, operators, and OEM/Vendors.
