Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a hands-on Plant Manager to lead our corrugated manufacturing facility. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement, while shaping culture and developing talent in a fast-paced environment.

With responsibility for production planning, equipment reliability, and cost control, you will build leadership capability, mentor teams, and deliver measurable improvements in performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of corrugated manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated success leading large teams in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, maintenance, production planning, and operational metrics.
• Proven ability to drive performance, improve processes, and develop people.
• High school diploma or GED plus relevant college coursework and/or technical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for all plant operations, ensuring safety, customer satisfaction, quality, productivity and employee engagement.
• Lead Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, equipment reliability and cost performance.
• Ensure efficient execution of production schedules while meeting customer expectations and objectives.
• Build leadership capability through coaching, mentoring, accountability and succession development.
