Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a Technical Lead to own the patient interaction experience across enrollment and care journeys. You will guide mobile and web app strategy, prototype features with design and product, and drive engagement and retention through innovative engineering, AI tooling, and scalable architecture.

You will report to a Senior Staff Engineering Manager and can work remotely from anywhere in the continental US.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping consumer or patient-facing products, mobile or web.
• Led technical direction and mentored engineers.
• Strong opinions on building great user experiences.
• Comfortable across full stack in a fast-moving startup.
• Knowledge of latest trends in AI/ML and coding agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for our mobile development strategy and patient-facing apps.
• Prototype and ship features with design and product teams, using AI tools.
• Shape product direction to retain patients in their first month with Pomelo.
• Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to translate needs into features.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards and patterns.
