Job summary
Civicworks seeks a full-time technical lead for the Maryland Medicaid Information System (MMIS) Reporting Team within the Maryland Department of Health's Office of Enterprise Technology. The role blends hands-on application development with team leadership.
You will design and deliver programming solutions, mentor programmer analysts, troubleshoot complex production issues, and support system enhancements and performance improvements.
Qualifications
- Six years of programming experience with two years in designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications using standard programming languages.
- Experience supporting MMIS or another state's MMIS system.
- Proficiency in IBM z/OS mainframe application development with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, ISPF and TSO.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for part of required experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for MMIS Reporting Team and hands-on development activities.
- Mentor programmer analysts and assist with design, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Support system enhancements and performance improvements across MMIS.
