Job summary

State of Maryland's MDH Office of Eligibility Services seeks a full-time Lead Worker to support the Medical Care Program Associate Supervisor by coordinating MMIS Eligibility data review, interpretation, and updates in MMIS Recipient Eligibility subsystem, aligned with federal and state rules.

The role provides technical guidance to Medical Care Program Associates, assigns and reviews work, conducts QA, and trains staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of clerical experience applying policies in medical care or entitlement programs.
• Experience substitutions: additional clerical work or college credits may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to Medical Care Program Associates; assign and review work; perform QA reviews.
• Provide training for staff as indicated.
• Deliver customer service to internal staff and external agencies regarding Medicaid eligibility.
• Liaise with hospitals, Social Security Administration and LDSS on MMIS Eligibility requirements.
