Job summary

Maryland Department of Health seeks a full-time Lead Worker to coordinate operations, review and verify Medicaid eligibility data, and maintain the MMIS Recipient Eligibility subsystem in line with state and federal regulations.

The role requires knowledge of federal/state policies, ability to interpret data across MDH systems, and to provide training and quality assurance for staff. Strong customer service to internal and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of clerical experience in health programs.
• Experience applying policies in health entitlement programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations to review and verify Medicaid eligibility data.
• Update MMIS Recipient Eligibility subsystem per state/federal rules.
• Provide training and QA reviews to Medical Care Program staff.
• Serve as liaison with hospitals, SSA, and LDSS on policy requirements.
• Deliver customer service to internal MDH staff and external partners.
