Job summary

Peraton is seeking a COBOL Software Developer, Advisor to join our Health, State and Local sector in support of the Medicare DME claims processing system. You will be a principal technical contributor on an Agile team, responsible for design, coding, testing, and defect resolution.

The role requires advanced mainframe skills (COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO, VSAM) and 8+ years of experience. You will mentor teammates, provide accurate estimates, and ensure high-quality, compliant software delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe technologies and health care claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and SAFe practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, unit test, and debug enhancements to the Medicare health claims system.
