Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to provide technical guidance to software engineers and lead the design and delivery of enterprise software solutions. You will work with architects, developers, and business users to ensure alignment with IT standards and business processes.

The role combines architecture, mentorship, and hands-on coding, delivering modules and integrated systems while maintaining high quality and performance across the application

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of database technologies experience.
• 5 years of SDLC experience.
• 3 years of systems analysis and high level design.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specifications for software solutions.
• Review development or modification of complex enterprise software solutions.
• Split time 50/50 between design/mentorship and hands-on delivery of code.
• Develop and validate complex software designs ensuring adherence to architecture standards.
• Contribute to technical direction for development and integration of solutions across environments.
• Document requirements, design, and test scripts for enhancements.
