Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, align solutions with IT standards, and mentor teams across project lifecycles.

You will work with architects, developers and business users to design, code modules, and deliver stable enterprise applications, while ensuring adherence to architecture and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of database technologies.
• 5 years of experience on projects applying SDLC.
• 3 years of systems analysis with high level design for complex solutions.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation on business requirements and functional specifications; supports the project lifecycle with leadership input.
• Reviews development or modification of complex enterprise software solutions.
• Balances design mentorship with hands-on delivery of code (~50/50).
• Develops and validates intricate software designs adhering to architecture standards.
• Guides design and coding of component-based applications across environments.
• Ensures requirements, design, and test scripts are documented for enhancements.
