Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, resolve architectural issues, and deliver enterprise solutions. You will design, code, and mentor across project teams while ensuring alignment with IT standards and business processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, collaboration with architects and business users, and advancing complex systems through modern software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 5 years of experience on projects using SDLC.
• 3 years of experience in systems analysis and high level design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specifications for software solutions.
• Review development or modification of complex enterprise software solutions.
• Balance design mentorship with hands-on delivery of code (50/50).
• Develop and validate highly complex software designs aligned with standards.
• Document design, requirements, and test scripts for enhancements.
• Lead project teams and mentor others on methodologies and controls.
