Old Dominion Freight Line seeks an experienced Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, design complex solutions, and deliver code while mentoring teams. You’ll work with architects and business users to align projects with IT standards and deliver reliable enterprise software.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, leadership, and collaboration across project teams to ensure successful implementations and architecture compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of database technologies experience.
• 5 years on projects using SDLC and complex solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to software engineers and align with IT standards.
• Review and design highly complex enterprise software solutions.
• Split 50/50 between design/mentorship and hands-on delivery of code.
• Develop prototypes and ensure designs follow architecture standards.
• Document requirements, design, and test scripts for enhancements.
• Lead project teams and mentor others, resolving escalated issues.
• Support CI/CD, source control, and deployment processes.
