Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Development Manager / Technical Lead to join the IT Group in the United States. The role blends hands-on software development with strategic leadership, guiding architecture, design, and delivery while mentoring the development team.

As a senior technical contributor, you will work with the Business Analyst to translate requirements into actionable plans, refine estimates, and drive quality, documentation, and delivery discipline across projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in development team management

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
• Guide architecture, solution design, and delivery practices
• Perform hands-on development on high-priority solutions (~60% time)
• Set clear goals, provide feedback, and manage performance
• Ensure delivery within budget and schedule, with proper estimation and documentation
• Mentor developers and define UAT criteria with Business Analyst
• Establish engineering standards, code reviews, and QA/QC controls
• Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals
