Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, shape designs, and ensure alignment with IT standards. The role involves mentoring teams, coding, and delivering enterprise solutions that meet business requirements across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of database technologies experience.
• 5 years of SDLC project involvement.
• 3 years of systems analysis and high level design.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Consult on business requirements and functional specifications in logical designs, code modules, and software solutions; support the project lifecycle with leadership input.
• Review development or modification of highly complex enterprise software solutions.
• 50/50 split between design/mentorship/leadership and hands-on delivery of code.
• Develop and validate highly complex software design prototypes.
• Provide technical direction for development and integration of enterprise applications.
