The role blends architecture work with hands-on code delivery and mentoring across project teams. This senior position requires strong programming (RPG, Java, SQL, Angular), systems analysis, and leadership abilities, with compensation discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, plus professional software development experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 5 years on SDLC projects.
• 3 years in systems analysis and high level design.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, and APIs design/implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specs and support project lifecycle.
• Lead design and delivery of complex software solutions with hands-on coding as needed.
• Develop prototypes and ensure designs align with architecture standards.
• Guide the technical direction for integrated enterprise applications across environments.
• Document requirements, designs, and test scripts for enhancements.
• Oversee code management and production deployment in line with IT policies.
• Mentor team members and contribute to interface discussions and decisions.
• Evaluate options, risks, and costs for software designs and interfaces.
