Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Tech Lead to steer a high-performing engineering team in delivering scalable software solutions. You will mentor developers, guide architecture decisions, and drive delivery across cloud-based services built with Spring Boot and modern backend technologies.

Ideal candidates have extensive Java experience, strong leadership, and a passion for AI-enabled data platforms. This is a remote US role with a focus on building robust, compliant healthcare-focused software.

Qualifications

3+ years of people management experience.
9+ years of Java development experience.
4+ years of Spring Boot experience.
2+ years of cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
4+ years of experience with open source frameworks.
Proficient in AI tools like Cursor and Claude.
2+ years of Agile practices.
2+ years of experience with modern relational and NoSQL databases.
3+ years of backend microservices design with RESTful APIs.
4+ years of build/deploy with Jenkins and Docker.
Experience with Test First Development (TDD).
Pharma/healthcare sector experience is a plus.
