Job summary

Instrumentation and Controls, LLC (IAC) is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer in Chandler, AZ to grow existing customers and acquire new accounts. You will work with account managers to meet monthly quotas, maintain gross margin, and enhance customer satisfaction.

The role requires a technical background, 2+ years in sales or technical positions, and proficiency with NetSuite CRM/ERP and Microsoft Office. Base salary plus commission and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering strongly preferred.
• Associate degree in a technical field or business concentration required.
• Minimum 2 years in similar position if no engineering degree.
• Minimum 1 year in a progressive position (2 years preferred).
• Product/applications experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and distribution software.
• Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, time management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, and analytical ability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate new and repeat sales and increase sales and average order size by cross-selling and upselling.
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications with timely info.
• Proactively recommend correct products and solutions to increase satisfaction and profitability.
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns in NetSuite CRM/ERP and our manufacturers.
• Provide up-to-date information regarding in-stock items and keep records in NetSuite CRM/ERP.
• Follow up with customers to review quotations and ensure satisfaction; resolve complaints.
• Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples, and monitor shipment dates for timely delivery.
• Stay current on consumer preferences by attending sales meetings and vendor training.
