Job summary
Global Channel Management is seeking a Writing Specialist to author technical publications for complex network and software products. The role requires collaboration with engineers and SMEs and experience with structured FrameMaker (DITA) and related tools.
The position focuses on producing user guides, online help, release notes, and product specifications while working with a dispersed, multicultural team in an agile environment.
Qualifications
- 3 years of related experience as Writing Specialist.
- Experience authoring technical publications for highly technical and complex products.
- Experience with structured documentation tools and DITA.
- Experience with software tools like Acrobat Pro, Adobe CS, Word, Excel, SVN and JIRA is helpful.
- Ability to write user and technical documentation for process automation products and release notes.
Responsibilities
- Write user and technical documentation for process automation products.
- Create user guides, online help, Release Notes, and Product Specifications.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, support staff and SMEs.
- Interview subject matter experts to gather information and translate it for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Publish documentation in various online and printed formats.
