Job summary
Global Channel Management is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist for a 6‑month contract in California. You will write user and technical content for complex tech products and collaborate with developers, PMs, and QA to gather information and publish accurate guides.
Required a degree in CS/English/Technical Writing, 3+ years of experience, and strong skills with FrameMaker/DITA, CMS tools, and the Adobe/Office suite. This contract offers a six‑month engagement and competitive pay.
Qualifications
- Experience authoring technical publications for highly technical products.
- Experience with complex network or software products for technical audiences.
- Experience with FrameMaker (DITA) and related tools.
- Collaborating in a content management system with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to write user and technical documentation for process automation products.
Responsibilities
- Write user and technical documentation for process automation products.
- Produce user guides, online help, Release Notes and Product Specifications.
- Publish documentation in various online and printed formats.
- Work independently with developers, testers, PMs, support staff and SMEs.
- Interview SMEs to gather information and translate into clear content.
