Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Technical Director, Project Management for the Mountain Pacific Region to lead the PM team delivering major transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee budgets, schedules, resources, and client communications across multiple concurrent programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, 12+ years in post-education experience with 5+ years in transit, and PMP/CAP-M certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related discipline.
  • 12+ years post education experience with 5+ years in transit and transportation projects.
  • Proficient understanding of project delivery in A/E/C and strong project management background.
  • Essential project management certification or equivalent (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
  • Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen to bridge business and project management.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with leadership, subcontractors and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support major transportation programs and projects.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams to manage budgets, hours, expenses, and contract obligations.
  • Develop proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Assist PMs with budget development, ETCs, recovery plans, and invoicing.
  • Assist in change management, QA/QC, and contract change orders.
  • Support developing project management reporting needs and tools.
  • Provide regular project reporting to clients and managers.
