Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Director, Project Management for the Mountain Pacific Region. This role leads cross-functional teams on major transportation programs, ensuring budgets, schedules, quality, and contractual obligations are met across multiple concurrent projects.

The candidate will develop proposals, estimates, and resource plans, while supporting project management reporting and client communications. A PMP or equivalent credential is preferred, with extensive A/E/C industry experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related.
  • 12+ years post-education experience with 5+ years in transit/transportation projects.
  • Certified Project Manager (e.g., PMP, CAP-M) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support major transportation programs and projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams to manage budgets, hours, expenses and contractual obligations.
  • Assist in development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Monitor ETCs, recoveries, invoicing, and change management.
  • Ensure QA/QC and quality metrics are defined and followed.
  • Develop and manage contract changes and subcontract amendments.
  • Maintain client communications with monthly status reports and risk/budget impacts.
  • Provide leadership to project management staff and maintain ethical conduct.
