Job summary

Marotta Controls in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a Technical Director, Business Development for Electronic Systems. The role leads technical proposals, capability presentations, and discussions with customers, acting as the voice of engineering during early opportunity development.

You will support Bid Manager, coordinate with engineering, review specifications, and help create preliminary BOMs. A Bachelor's in EE, 5–7 years in aerospace/military electronic systems, and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 5–7 years’ experience in high performance Electronic Systems in Aerospace and Military industries.
• Familiarity with government procurement procedures, standards, and quality requirements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication across all levels and with external partners.
• Proficiency with MS Office and PC systems.
• Ability to achieve expert knowledge of the Marotta product portfolio and Tactical Systems capabilities.
• Experience in design, development, fabrication, test, and transition to production of Electronic Systems.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and sub-level specs for compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering on system architecture and approach.
• Review Marotta Product Portfolio for design reuse opportunities.
• Lead and construct the technical proposal response with defined responsibilities.
• Issue proposal outlines and base proposals for leverage.
• Assign proposal section write-ups and support technical documentation.
• Complete technical response for customer submittal.
