Job summary

Marotta Controls seeks a Senior Development Engineer to lead development, integration, and verification of flight-critical actuation and power systems at our Parsippany, NJ facility. You will oversee a multi-discipline team, manage test engineers and technicians, and ensure compliance with aerospace and defense standards throughout development, integration, and qualification activities.

The role requires 5–10 years in a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred), experience with MIL-STD-810

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred)
• Experience with aerospace testing standards such as MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-DO-160 is highly desirable
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering is preferred; Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or related certification is preferred
• Thorough understanding of electronic and electro‑mechanical principles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English and proficient with MS Office

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for control actuation systems and power systems
• Lead integration and test strategy, reviews, and risk mitigation
• Ensure alignment between design, systems, and development/test organizations
• Drive execution through gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
• Develop integration and verification strategies and test documentation
• Serve as primary interface for integration and test activities with customers and certification authorities
