Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Technical Designer in New York to join a fast-paced apparel team. You will develop tech packs, manage BOMs, and participate in live-model fit sessions to ensure quality and fit across products.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in technical design for women's wear, strong CAD/Illustrator skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset to drive brand fidelity from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience in women's apparel; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate measurement and grading.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with measurements and specs.
• Create and manage BOMs, packaging, care labels, UPCs and related docs.
• Conduct and participate in fit sessions using live models.
• Review prototypes with pattern makers and manufacturers.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality and design intent.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production and vendors.
• Maintain timelines and ensure brand standards remain intact.
