Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Technical Designer for Women's Activewear & Outerwear in New York, NY. This on-site role involves turning concepts into production-ready documents and ensuring fit, construction, and quality meet brand standards.

You will develop tech packs, manage BOMs, lead fit sessions, and collaborate with Design, Product Development and Manufacturing teams to deliver accurate, market-ready products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's apparel; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation.
• Excellent attention to detail with accurate measurements.
• Effective written and verbal communication across teams and with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading and specs.
• Create and manage BOMs, packaging requirements, care labels, carton markings, UPCs.
• Conduct and participate in fit sessions using live models.
• Analyze fit, propose revisions, and communicate clearly to vendors and teams.
• Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturers.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, construction and design intent.
• Identify construction challenges and balance design with manufacturability and cost.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production and external partners.
• Help keep projects aligned with timelines, quality expectations and brand standards.
• Utilize fabrics, trims, construction techniques to support development and execution.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining quality standards across products.
• Promote durability, comfort and customer satisfaction across garments.
