Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Customer Service Technician to join a cross‑functional team on site in Connersville, IN. The role focuses on order entry, quotations, and delivery coordination with internal departments and distributors.

You will communicate with customers and internal teams daily, use SAP and Salesforce to track orders, and help resolve shipping and pricing issues while providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in product and/or customer service.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Run reports to monitor and correct on line orders.
• Communicate with customers via email, Salesforce or telephone regarding open orders and technical information.
• Collaborate with Shipping, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Management and Distributor Development to ensure clear communication.
• Source information via SAP, lead-time sheets and purchasing tracking log and analyze data to convey the best information to the customer.
• Coordinate with Scheduling to communicate changes in the order book.
• Create and manage quotes for units, parts and repair opportunities; handle credits/debits for returns and freight issues.
• Create freight claims for damaged or lost shipments.
• Support the Sales team with ship dates and opportunities.
