Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking a Commercial Manager West to lead our Commercial AE team in a remote US West footprint, with strong interest for San Francisco. You will coach, develop, and hold the performance of a technically focused sales force selling data infrastructure to engineering buyers.

You will own the segment numbers, review deals in depth, and build repeatable playbooks while partnering with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Marketing to accelerate growth.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a quota-bearing AE in a technical sales environment.
• Experience leading or mentoring other sellers.
• Ability to discuss modern data stack with engineering buyers.
• Strong commercial instincts with honest forecast discussions.
• A builder mentality in an evolving, less-defined playbook.
• Genuine commitment to developing reps and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Account Executives selling into the sub-250 employee segment.
• Own the Commercial segment numbers, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy; maintain a clear point of view.
• Spend time in deals, join customer conversations when needed, navigate technical and commercial complexity.
• Hire exceptional people who are technically credible and autonomously capable.
• Build and codify a scalable playbook for technical discovery, objections, and deal progression.
• Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Marketing to ensure support and feedback loops.
• Identify patterns across the pipeline to drive performance improvements and inform product/GTM decisions.
• Contribute to broader Commercial strategy including segmentation and coverage models.
