Job Description

Entity: Oracle America, Inc.

Job Duties:

• Deliver solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs.
• Offer strategic technical support to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Create and utilize automated technology and instrumentation to diagnose, document, and resolve or prevent customer issues.
• Serve as an expert member of the technical problem-solving and problem avoidance team, addressing extremely complex, critical customer issues.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a relevant role.

Position requires:

• Administrating Oracle database servers, performing database upgrades and migrations
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
• Implementing Oracle backup and recovery procedures using RMAN and Flashback
• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and Disaster Recovery
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL
• Experience in a production support environment, assisting with database technical issues, and being on call
• Oracle ASM/RAC
• Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Perl or Python

Additional Information:

Range and benefits are location-specific. US hiring range: $101,959 - $141,999 per year, possibly eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, sick leave, parental leave, adoption assistance, stock purchase plan, and voluntary benefits.
