Job summary

ANV Insurance seeks a Manager of Technical Accounting with strong expertise in acquisition accounting, revenue recognition, and technical reporting. You will lead complex accounting matters across LOI, measurement, and consolidation while partnering with business stakeholders to translate outcomes into actionable journal entries.

The role emphasizes independent analysis, memo-writing, and collaboration with a scaling organization, under a PE-backed structure.

Qualifications

CPA required with 8+ years in technical accounting.
Strong ASC 805 and ASC 606 knowledge.
Experience in PE-backed, high-change environments.

Responsibilities

Lead acquisition accounting from LOI through measurement-period close.
Scope, manage and challenge third-party valuation reports.
Build and maintain opening balance sheet walks; identify intangibles, assumed liabilities and pre-acquisition contingencies.
Coordinate tax, legal-entity and consolidation implications.
Lead purchase accounting activities related to acquisitions, including evaluating fair value and ensuring proper accounting in the system.
Own and support revenue recognition analysis, including issues from acquisitions, new businesses, and new product launches.
Prepare clear, well-supported technical accounting memos documenting issue, guidance, analysis, and final conclusions.
Partner with operational accounting teams to translate technical conclusions into journal entries and processes.
Address consolidation considerations with new businesses and ownership structures.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate technical accounting conclusions clearly to partners.
