ANV Insurance is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting in Orlando to own acquisition accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. You will translate complex guidance into actionable accounting conclusions and work with stakeholders to implement the results.

Qualifications

• CPA with 8+ years in technical accounting (Big Four / in-house).
• Deep, practical ASC 805 and ASC 606 knowledge.
• Insurance distribution / MGA / fee-business experience is a plus.
• Strong writing: memos that reviewers can follow without a meeting.
• Comfortable in a PE-backed, high-change environment with thin infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead acquisition accounting from LOI through measurement-period close.
• Scope, manage and challenge third-party valuation reports.
• Build and maintain opening balance sheet walks; identify intangibles, assumed liabilities and pre-acquisition contingencies.
• Coordinate tax, legal-entity and consolidation implications.
• Lead purchase accounting activities including evaluating fair value and appropriate system entry.
• Own and support revenue recognition analysis, including post-acquisition considerations.
• Prepare clear, well-supported technical accounting memos documenting issue, guidance, analysis and conclusion.
• Partner with operational accounting teams to translate technical conclusions into journal entries.
• Address consolidation considerations with new businesses and ownership structures.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate technical conclusions clearly to business partners.
