Anthropic seeks a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments to join the Finance team. Lead accounting for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and complex capital transactions.

You will partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and leadership to ensure GAAP-compliant positions and prepare disclosures for filings. You will report to the Senior Director, Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments, helping shape controls, governance, and close-ready

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of complex M&A and strategic investment accounting.
Active CPA license required.
Big 4 experience in national office or deal advisory working with high-growth/public tech companies would be ideal.
Experience with GAAP for business combinations, consolidation, equity method and fair value.
Strong written and verbal communication translating complex deal accounting for leadership.

Responsabilités

Execute technical accounting for business combinations and asset acquisitions.
Lead due diligence and advise on GAAP, control, and earnings implications.
Perform end-to-end purchase accounting and post-close integration accounting.
Assess consolidation and investment classification, including VIE/primary-beneficiary analysis.
Prepare disclosures for quarterly and annual filings and present conclusions to leadership.
