Job summary

Micro Center is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Computer Services in Indianapolis to lead the service repair shop, manage a certified team, and drive customer satisfaction and sales. The role includes budgeting, policy adherence, and ensuring certifications like CompTIA A+ and Apple Certification are maintained.

The ideal candidate has retail management experience in a large-volume store, HR capabilities, and the ability to execute corporate initiatives while working varying shifts

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume store.
• Retail management experience: sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and technical customer service.
• HR functions experience: hiring, retaining and coaching employees.
• Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze competition.
• Physical requirement: lift up to 50 lbs.
• Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain orderly operation and safety; ensure service policies are followed at store level.
• Meet customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll and expense goals of the service repair shop.
• Manage departmental budget (Service Department P&L) and controls.
• Lead service issue resolution in line with company policy.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and staff provide courteous service.
• Develop and coach associates in customer satisfaction, product knowledge, solution selling and SOPs.
• Maintain associates' appropriate technical certifications to enable service of products.
• Oversee open/close procedures, freight flow, inventory control and asset tracking.
• Act as manager-in-charge during GM absence and execute ad sets/merchandising standards.
• Staffing, orientation, and training to ensure qualified, certified associates.
• HR issues handled per guidelines; coordinate with Regional HR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
