Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking an entry-level IT support/Helpdesk role in Herndon, VA. The position supports onsite and remote employee incidents and service requests under the Technology Services team.

You will respond to inquiries, document resolutions, and assist with hardware and software setup, deployments, and inventory. A technical degree or certificate in progress is required, along with strong communication and a customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or relevant technical degree or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, MIS, or related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows or macOS, Microsoft applications, networking concepts, or mobile devices from coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onsite and remote technical support for employee incidents and service requests.
• Respond to employee questions professionally and provide timely status updates.
• Create and update tickets in the incident tracking system with steps, actions, and resolutions.
• Troubleshoot Windows and Mac hardware, software, connectivity, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Escalate issues to appropriate technician or support group when needed.
• Assist with desktop software installations, hardware setup, deployments, and inventory.
• Support new employee technology orientation and create user guidance.
