Job summary

BDO USA, PC seeks an Assurance Associate in Technology Risk Assurance to begin leveraging an accounting or IT background within a dynamic client base. You will assist in IT risk assessments, interview client personnel, and help develop audit strategies to strengthen controls environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
• Internship or work-study in information systems or operational auditing preferred.
• Pursuing certification such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, CITP, CIA.
• Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing IT audit engagements, including risk assessments of IT environments.
• Provide input to improve client internal controls and procedures.
• Maintain relationships with client personnel to understand IT and business operations.
• Identify controls issues and help develop compensating controls and audit strategies.
• Document work in workpapers and support data analytics tools.
• Support engagement teams with data analytics to enhance audit efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required.
