Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Senior, Technology Risk Assurance in California to guide IT risk assessments and ITGC testing that influence financial audit procedures. You will design procedures to test client IT environments, control activities, and key reports, while mentoring IS Assurance Associates.

The role emphasizes collaboration with client teams, strong analytical skills, and applying professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems is required.
• Master’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• CPA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP and/or CFE certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans IT audits and tests IT general controls (ITGCs) such as system access, change management and IT operations.
• Designs procedures to understand and evaluate client IT environments and control environments.
• Mentors and guides IS Assurance Associates on engagements.
• Communicates findings and recommended improvements to client teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Master’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant advanced degree
