Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Advanced Repair Technician (Agent) in San Carlos, CA, will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair customers’ computers and devices at the store, delivering friendly, in-person support and clear explanations.

You’ll work with a team to document requests, follow procedures, and complete tasks promptly while staying current on consumer electronics and certification training, with a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of diagnosing, troubleshooting or repairing technology products.
• Experience actively using and learning about consumer electronics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, make recommendations, repair devices for in-person and phone support.
• Establish and maintain timely follow-up and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Document customer requests and repairs with team members.
• Ensure all repair tasks are completed on time and escalate with leaders when issues arise.
• Maintain knowledge, skills and certifications through training courses.
