BILL is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director, People Business Partner for the Technology organization. You will lead a small team of People Business Partners and collaborate with the CTO and leadership to shape talent, structure, and employee experience as BILL scales.

You will drive key people processes, coach leaders through org design and change, and partner across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and COE teams to build engineering capability and a strong people culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR/People experience, including senior partner roles.
• Experience partnering with CTO/CPO or technology leadership in SaaS/fintech environments.
• Proven track record building and developing People Business Partners teams.
• Strong data orientation with HR analytics to inform recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary People partner to the CTO and their reports, translating technology strategy into integrated people plans.
• Lead and partner with a team of People Business Partners to provide proactive strategic support.
• Drive core people processes: performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, leveling, organizational health, and leadership development.
• Coach leaders through org design and change management, delivering scalable and compliant solutions.
• Partner with Employee Relations on escalated matters and investigations to ensure consistent practices.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards to attract, retain, and grow engineering talent.
• Identify retention risks and engagement trends within technical teams and develop action plans.
• Support engineering managers and senior leaders through coaching and Learning & Organizational Development.
• Work with HR Shared Services, People Technology, and People Analytics to deliver core HR services.
• Leverage Workday and self-service tools to simplify processes and improve employee experiences.
• Apply HR policies consistently while allowing business nuance.
