Job summary

BILL is seeking a Director of Developer Experience and Infrastructure Platform to lead the engineering organization that sets the foundation for hundreds of services. This role owns developer tooling, AI-enabled workflows, and the service platform infrastructure, driving change and speed across the SDLC at scale.

You will partner with the CTO and executives to align platform investments with BILL's strategy, while building a data-driven culture and advancing security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering or infrastructure with leadership at Director level.
• Proven track record implementing AI-assisted development tools at scale.
• Experience leading change across a distributed engineering org.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for developer tooling and service platform across 250+ services.
• Drive change management to standardize engineering practices and tooling.
• Lead engineers and managers, aligning investments with company strategy.
• Scale developer experience with AI-enabled workflows and secure local environments.
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to translate technical plans into business impact.
