Job summary

Allied World is seeking a Tech Lead with deep Insurance domain expertise to drive AI-enabled software development across the SDLC. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of modern enterprise solutions, promoting AI-driven engineering practices to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in enterprise insurance tech, global delivery leadership, and cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and application delivery experience.
• 5+ years in a Technical Lead, Solution Lead, or Engineering Lead capacity.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise solutions within the Property & Casualty (P&C), Specialty, or Commercial Insurance industry.
• Proven experience leading global onshore/offshore delivery teams.
• Hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices and cloud-native development.
• AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) for cloud-native solutions.
• Modern application architecture and design.
• API-first and event-driven architectures.
• Microservices and distributed systems.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build and maintain full-stack applications using modern frameworks; adopt new tech including Python, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless.
• Drive adoption of AI tools throughout the SDLC to improve engineering productivity and solution quality.
• Utilize AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude for software design and development.
• Vibe Coding & Rapid Innovation: Develop POCs, MVPs, and prototypes using AI-enabled platforms; evaluate new technologies for business value.
• Promote a fail-fast experimentation culture while maintaining enterprise-grade engineering standards.
