Monzo is seeking a Player Coach to lead a small squad of Recruiters in our Tech Hiring team. You’ll combine people leadership with hands-on recruitment across Product, Engineering, Data and Design, partnering with senior stakeholders to shape hiring strategy.

You’ll coach and develop recruiters, manage priorities, and stay involved in candidate delivery while elevating hiring quality with data-driven insights and inclusive practices across fast-moving teams.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting in-house for tech roles (engineering, product).
• Experience coaching recruiters and developing talent.
• Interest in a player-coach leadership role combining people leadership with hands-on recruitment.
• Skilled at partnering with senior stakeholders to influence hiring strategy.
• Able to recruit across levels from mid-level to senior leadership.
• Excellent sourcer with ability to attract passive talent.
• Uses data/market insights to inform hiring decisions and improve processes.
• Committed to inclusive hiring and exceptional candidate experience.
